Manufacturing Stores Operative
Denham | £27,000–£28,000 | Permanent | Days
A globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Denham is recruiting a Manufacturing Stores Operative to join its team on a permanent basis.
This is a varied, hands-on role spanning packing, stores and internal logistics — keeping materials and components flowing efficiently through a busy production environment where accuracy and reliability are essential.
The Role
• Primary and final packing of parts, components and products to customer and technical requirements
• Validating batch numbers, part descriptions and quantities against SAP, flagging any discrepancies
• Ensuring goods are packed correctly with appropriate materials, labels and addresses clearly visible
• Liaising with logistics and shipping teams to keep goods on track for dispatch in line with delivery schedules
• Picking, packing and issuing materials and stock from Detail Stores and Raw Material Stores
• Taking receipt of materials, goods and stock from the main factory and external sources
• Transporting goods internally using forklift trucks, electric pallet stackers and scissor lift equipment
• Supporting Raw Material Stores duties including saw operation and basic measurement inspection
• Carrying out self-inspection and quality checks in line with procedures
• Supporting 5S and continuous improvement activities
• Adhering to all H&S regulations throughout
What We're Looking For
• Experience in stores, packing or warehousing within a manufacturing environment
• A structured, methodical approach with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable with physical work and able to keep pace in a busy environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
• Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
• Full UK driving licence is desirable — forklift truck training will be provided for the right candidate
