Manufacturing Production Manager

JAM Recruitment are working in partnership with a market leading manufacturing business based near Shrewsbury in the search for a Production Manager to join them on a permanent basis at a time of exciting business change and ambitious plans for growth

Your role will be to provide leadership to the production team to ensure all products are manufactured according to the production plan and in accordance with internal and external quality, legal and safety standards.

You will be responsible for:

Leading the day-to-day production activities, overseeing the whole production and manufacturing process
Headcount management
Monitoring quality, safety and overall standards of the Production department
Identifying opportunities for process improvement, making recommendations where necessary, adopting a continuous improvement approach using LEAN manufacturing methods
Ensuring that factory hygiene and health and safety standards are achieved and maintained in line with internal and regulatory requirements.
Identifying opportunities to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the operations and make recommendations for improvement.
Generating production reports, analysing KPI's and present to senior management

You will have:

Proven experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry
Good manufacturing engineering knowledge with strong understanding of production machinery and equipment.
Experience in leading and training a production team.
