Manufacturing Operative

Our client, an expanding manufacturing business with a solid and bright future is looking to recruit 3 Manufacturing Operatives, due to on-going growth. The company treat various metal products in different chemicals. Ideal candidates will have experience of Metal Treatment and using Chemicals at work.
And as a Manufacturing Operative you will have the following duties:
* Undertake daily checks and complete logs accordingly
* Maintain a clean work area, equipment and plant, at commencement and throughout shift.
* Review all documentation within Job Packs (route cards, drawings etc.) prior to commencing treatments
* Review route card and ensure completion for prior operations before commencing work on any job – return to previous operation/s if not completed
* Handle, jig-wire all jobs appropriately to avoid damage at any stage of processing
* Inspect jobs prior to commencing work to ensure all necessary preparation has been undertaken correctly
* Jig and wire work for treatments to ensure avoidance of damage, burns air traps etc.
* Carry out all in process inspections in accordance with Work Instructions.
* Inspect all jobs once processed to ensure satisfactory finish
* Complete all necessary paperwork, records and logs relevant to the jobs, including recording all processes on AeroDNA.
* Undertake all necessary solutions samples and supply to laboratory for analysis
* Review solution additions, make additions as per analysis results and complete paperwork accordingly
* Report any and all concerns regarding plant, equipment or solutions to your Line Manager.
* Assist in other areas of the business when not undertaking main treatments activities
* Undertake all other reasonable requests from Management
Ideal candidates will have experience in Plating or any other metal treatment process, but as i said above, the best candidates will have the best attitude to life - don't be a moaner :-)
This is a permanent position where you will work a regular day shift. 07:45am - 16:15 Monday to Thursday and 7am - 1pm on a Friday.
In return you can expect a starting rate of £12.25 per hour. This will go up in increments as you are trained to do more.
It is likely that these positions will move onto shifts. Once you move onto a shifts ( rotating early and afternoons ), you will qualify for 15% shift allowance.
Week 1 - 6am - 2pm (Monday to Friday) 5 x 8 hour shifts
Week 2 - 2pm - Midnight ( Monday to Thursday ) 4 x 10 hour shifts
