Description:
Manufacturing Operative required for our well-established client based in Southend.
The role involves preparing components for treatment and conduct Chemical process.
Pay: £12.11 per hour
Hours: Mon – Fri 39 hours
Type: Temporary for 8 weeks
Location: Southend
Duties: (Not limited to)
* Load and unload components
* Perform minor assemblies and part marking.
* Ensure all components meet required quality standards.
* Conduct post-treatment inspection checks.
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
* Read engineering drawings and perform assembly tasks such as helicoiling.
* Complete all tasks assigned by the Manager in a timely and efficient manner.
* Help create and maintain a safe working environment by following Health and Safety procedures.
* Perform any other reasonable and relevant tasks as required.
Skills/Experience:
* GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above.
* Experience in anodising, surface treatment, or chemical processes.
* Experience in minor assembly.
* Mechanical engineering knowledge beneficial.
* Ability to read engineering drawings in both metric and imperial units.
* Proficient in using hand tools.
* Proficient in using measuring equipment.
* Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
