Manufacturing Operative
Earls Colne, Essex
£13.50 per hour
Monday to Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm

We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Operative to join a well-established precast concrete manufacturer based in Earls Colne. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position with a growing business that offers training, development and a permanent opportunity.
Please note: This is a very physically demanding role involving manual handling, working with wet concrete and being on your feet throughout the day. Applicants must be comfortable with heavy, hands-on work in a manufacturing environment.
Duties will include:
Levelling and finishing freshly poured concrete to a high standard
Using vibrating poker equipment to remove air pockets and ensure an even concrete finish
Shovelling, floating and trowelling concrete to create smooth, consistent surfaces
Assisting with the preparation of precast concrete moulds
Supporting the crane operative with positioning reinforcement cages into moulds
Carrying out quality checks before products are cast
Maintaining a clean and organised work area throughout the shift
Following health and safety procedures at all times
Working as part of the production team to meet daily manufacturing targetsThe ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience within manufacturing, production, construction or another physically demanding environment
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
The ability to work in a physically demanding role
Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
