Are you an experienced manufacturing leader ready to take ownership of a complex, high-performing production operation within a globally recognised organisation?
Our client is a world-leading food manufacturer with an extensive international footprint, supplying customers across multiple markets and operating some of the industry's most advanced production facilities. Due to continued investment and growth, they are seeking a Site Manufacturing Manager to lead manufacturing operations at one of their strategically important UK sites.

This is a rare opportunity to join an Upper Tier COMAH facility, where operational excellence, safety leadership, continuous improvement, and people development sit at the heart of everything they do.
The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Site Director, you will provide leadership across manufacturing operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping site performance, fostering a high-performance culture, and driving operational excellence initiatives across a large manufacturing operation.
This role offers significant visibility within the wider global organisation and the opportunity to influence both site and group-level strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all manufacturing activities across the site, ensuring safe and efficient production performance.
Champion a world-class safety culture within an Upper Tier COMAH environment.
Deliver operational KPIs relating to productivity, quality, service, cost, and customer satisfaction.
Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with site and business objectives.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or equivalent methodologies.
Build, lead, and develop a large multi-disciplinary manufacturing team.
Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Partner closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, HSE, and Commercial teams.
Lead operational change programmes, capacity improvements, and site investment projects.
Manage budgets and resources to maximise operational effectiveness and profitability.About You We're looking for an ambitious and inspirational manufacturing leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to operational leadership.
You will ideally have:

Significant leadership experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or another highly regulated process environment.
Experience operating within a COMAH-regulated site, ideally Upper Tier.
Proven success leading large manufacturing teams in a complex production setting.
Strong understanding of operational excellence and continuous improvement principles.
Demonstrated ability to deliver sustainable improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at all levels.
Experience managing organisational change and driving cultural transformation.
Degree-level qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related discipline preferred.What's on Offer?
