Description:

We’re hiring for a Manufacturing Manager to join a proud UK owned family run manufacturer based in Buxton, High Peak. As part of the ongoing growth plan, as Manufacturing Manager you will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team reporting to the Manufacturing Director.

You’ll be responsible for running an efficient and effective production unit, manufacturing high quality products in a safe manner to deliver the required levels of operational performance, whilst driving quality standards

What’s on offer?

* £50,000 - £60,000 per annum

* Day shifts Monday – Friday

What would you be doing as a Manufacturing Manager?

* Daily management of the full manufacturing process and production team

* Implementing and maintaining systems and processes that drive continuous improvements in all manufacturing activities

* Operations planning and managing day today scheduling, long term planning and capacity planning

* Working collaboratively with support functions to ensure the effective running of the production areas

* Developing and leading a high-performing team to ensure the highest standards are delivered and providing guidance, coaching and training for those responsible for the day-to-day production operations

* Working with the People team to ensure timely completion of all associated people processes, such as recruitment, investigations, disciplinary and performance management

* Ensuring engagement of the team and driving KPIs to achieve targets

* Managing Health & Safety, ensuring that all employees work with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act and comply with the Company’s safety policy

What do you need?

* Outstanding people management and development skills and experience with

* Fantastic interpersonal skills and leadership qualities

* Operational expertise in process flow management

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Proven experience of making improvements within a manufacturing business

* An independently minded, decisive, problem solver

* Forward thinking with substantial operational and people management experience gained within a manufacturing environment.

* Be a role model in terms of how to collaborate and influence in order to achieve improved performance

This is a challenging role where you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the performance of the business. You will need to be proactive with a strong bias for action, able to prioritise and communicate and be comfortable managing a site of circa 65 employees.
