Description:

Our client, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, seeks a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer specialising in Assembly and Integration. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in producing and assembling missiles. This contract opportunity may lead to a permanent position or an extension. A full apprenticeship and certificate copy is required. The role is full-time with a hybrid work schedule - in Bolton.

As the Manufacturing Engineer in charge of missile assembly, it is crucial that you ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of our client's products. Your role in the Manufacturing Engineering team is critical, and you will be accountable for supporting several manufacturing projects.

What we're looking for:

Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 with a formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject."or": A BEng degree in a relevant engineering field."

"or": A minimum of twenty years of experience working as a manufacturing engineer."

Knowledge to interpret design drawings to produce manufacturing build instructions for skilled and semi-skilled operators
Experience in Electronic Sub Assembly manufacture through to System level builds and expertise and knowledge of the assembly process for small/miniature Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a diverse team and the ability to read, analyse and interpret documents for accuracy and compliance with Code
Effective collaboration, customer understanding, and prompt response are crucial.
Understand and work with Company Processes and Procedures.
It is highly essential to have Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) training and SAP experience.

What you'll get to do as a Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly and Integration)

In charge of compiling and updating manufacturing instructions.
Responsible for designing, commissioning, and testing the associated tooling.
Assist in the industrial validation process using tools such as FMEAs and FAIs.
Resolve technical problems that may arise during the manufacturing process and update route card to reflect changes because of re-works in activities
To ensure proper configuration control, it's essential to incorporate design modifications into the manufacturing instructions.
Support the Non-Conformance Process using SAP.
