Our client based in Worksop is a power management company with a global reach. They offer energy efficient products and services to their customers which help to effectively manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power more reliably, efficiently, safely and sustainably.
They are now seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Worksop. At our client's manufacturing site in Worksop you will be working within their Industrial Control & Protection division, the site manufactures high quality, cost effective Cam Switches and Disconnectors for the global market with minimal environmental impact.

THE ROLE:
Primary focus of the role is to support NPI project industrialisation on site, lead or support others to deliver CAPEX projects on time and within budget, support problem solving and TPM events to improve production efficiency and be a go to point of contact for engineering support.

Be the manufacturing engineering support for NPI projects having specific ProLaunch tasks assigned.
Lead and support others to deliver CAPEX projects, this could be smaller projects like purchasing a 3D printer through to buying a fully automated assembly machine with integrated testers.
Be responsible for all factory layout changes maintaining an up to date layout in CAD.
Participate or lead CI events such as TPM and problem solving and provide manufacturing engineering knowledge to solve problems and drive efficiency.
Design new jigs and fixtures to improve ergonomics and increase productivity.
Support machine guarding and electrical tester remediation tasks.
Support and develop multi axis ABB robot programming especially on the UAC cell optimising efficiency."

Working hours are Monday to Friday working 36 hours per week, typically between the hours of 8.30am to 4.30pm with an early finish on a Friday. However must be flexible on start times from 6.00am.

THE CANDIDATE:
Minimum HND ideally BEng in Engineering/Manufacturing.
Previous experience in a similar role in manufacturing environment.
Experience managing Capital projects circa. £10-£500k.
Electrical knowledge including PLC would be a plus.
PMI Project management training would be advantageous.
CSME qualification.
Proficient AutoCAD Inventor user.
Excellent communication skills from shop floor to Director level.
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Strong and proven project management skills.
Microsoft Office especially Excel.
