An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading aerospace and defence organisation supporting complex aircraft maintenance and modification programmes.
Working within the Manufacturing Engineering team, you'll produce manufacturing plans and technical work instructions that enable the safe and efficient maintenance, repair and modification of aircraft. You'll collaborate with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to ensure work is delivered in line with regulatory and customer requirements.
The Role
* Produce manufacturing plans and technical work instructions from approved engineering data.
* Interpret engineering drawings, OEM documentation and maintenance manuals.
* Develop work packages supporting aircraft maintenance, repair and modification activities.
* Maintain configuration control of manufacturing plans and work orders.
* Resolve technical queries between Engineering and Production teams.
* Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Work within cross-functional engineering teams to deliver manufacturing solutions.
We're Looking For We're interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
* Manufacturing Engineering.
* Aerospace, defence or aircraft MRO.
* Aircraft maintenance, repair or modification.
* Manufacturing planning.
* Technical work instructions.
* Engineering documentation.
* Root Cause Analysis.
* SAP, GoldESP, MESCi or similar ERP/MRP systems.
* Engineering drawings and OEM maintenance data.
Requirements
* Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
* Current SC Clearance preferred.
* Able to work full-time on-site at Birmingham Airport.
* Comfortable working a rotating shift pattern:
* Early: 06:30-16:30
* Late: 16:00-02:00
