Manufacturing Engineer

Are you a Manufacturing Engineer passionate about driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within a complex engineering environment?
We're seeking a proactive Manufacturing Engineer to play a key role across the full product lifecycle, from development and prototyping through to full-rate production. You'll work closely with engineering, production, and operations teams to develop robust manufacturing processes, improve yield, reduce costs, and support the successful delivery of key programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimise manufacturing processes and production methods.
Define assembly sequences, work instructions, production layouts, and material flows.
Create and maintain Manufacturing BOMs, routings, and process documentation.
Identify tooling and fixturing requirements to support production.
Generate technical requirement specifications and manufacturing estimates.
Support production readiness, shop floor problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive lean manufacturing principles to improve quality, efficiency, and throughput.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, and Operations.
What We're Looking For
Experience in manufacturing engineering within a complex engineering or highly regulated environment.
Strong knowledge of assembly processes, including electro-mechanical assembly, bonding, or similar technologies.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality improvement methodologies.
Experience producing technical drawings using CAD software.
Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and management of BOMs and routings (SAP desirable).
A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for driving operational excellence.
Composite manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
