Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a terrific opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor for our Mottram Moor Link A57 Road highways improvement scheme in Manchester.
What you'll be doing
As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be working with the Commercial Team managing all the costs related to the Mottram Moor Link A57 Road highways improvement scheme in Manchester
Working collaboratively with the project team, the Client, and our supply chain to deliver the works within time and budget.
Commercial management including forecasting and providing input to the monthly CVR, cost and commercial plans.
Share accountability, along with the project team for the commercial performance and ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the project.
Ensure that the supply chain is engaged appropriately in line with Balfour Beatty governance and appropriate contract terms and conditions.
Effectively assist in managing the commercial team, including cost clerks and commercial
support staff.
Ensure effective interaction between the commercial team and the operational site teams
Supervise and mentor Quantity Surveyors.
Who we're looking for
You will have the following:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB
Holding a valid UK Driving license
Civils, Infrastructure or Highways projects experience helpful
Be within a reasonable commutable distance of the above base location
