You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What you'll be doing

* Maximise and protect the company’s commercial position by management of the commercial and administrative functions in line with contract terms

* Liaise with the Client on commercial issues and auditing enquiries

* Actively manage Work in Progress to acceptable levels

* Management of Subcontractors, including issuing of Payment and other Notices

* Organise and lead monthly CVR meetings with Commercial and Operational teams

* Management of change control including CE’s, EW’s, and Star Rates

* Offer contractual and measurement advice to the Operations and Commercial teams

* Support the Commercial Manager in administering the monthly Application for Payment

* Support the Commercial Manager in developing the team

What you'll bring

* Degree / HND qualification in Quantity Surveying or other relevant subject (desirable)

* Strong level of identifiable commercial experience within the construction industry as a Managing or Senior QS

* Experience of working within highways maintenance, particularly under the NEC suite of Contracts

* Good command and communication of oral and written English

* Good organisational skills

* Proficient in the use of MS Office

* Understanding and previous use of Causeway Project Accounting, Confirm, and Oracle would be an advantage
