Managing Quantity Surveyor – Derbyshire – Highways - £Negotiable + Package
Are you looking for an opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a blue chip civil engineering contractor with a rapidly growing infrastructure business unit that already has an exceptionally secure pipeline of work?
The business has built an outstanding reputation within the industry, with approximately 95% of their workload secured through repeat business and longstanding Local Authority relationships. Their order book is already fully secured moving into next year and, remarkably, their 2028 workload is already around 70% committed through existing frameworks and repeat clients. With infrastructure investment continuing to grow, this division is only moving in one direction.
This has created a phenomenal opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to oversee the commercial delivery of multiple smaller-value public realm and civil engineering projects simultaneously. Schemes include highways improvements, streetscape works, junction upgrades, regeneration and associated infrastructure projects delivered under long-term frameworks. The role will involve overseeing commercial teams, maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring robust financial performance across projects and supporting the continued growth of the business unit.
The ideal candidate will have a strong civil engineering or infrastructure background and experience managing multiple schemes within framework environments. Previous exposure to public realm, highways or Local Authority works would be highly beneficial alongside strong leadership, communication and commercial management skills.
