£150,000 – £200,000 plus full benefits and bonuses
£50m turnover specialist reinforced concrete (RC) frame and groundwork subcontractor
About the Opportunity:
I am looking for someone who is already a Director that has a strong background working for rival RC frame and groundwork subcontractors in the UK that is ready to take on the challenge of being a full Managing Director of an existing business.
If you’ve worked in this sector, you’ll know what is involved in the day-to-day duties; your position will sit at the top of the business and will effectively be responsible for the full running of the entire organisation, while managing and leading your senior management and directorship team to accomplish the goals and targets you set. Currently this business completes a variety of groundwork and RC frame packages across London and around the Home Counties, with package values ranging from £1m up to £15m each.
I should highlight though; you won’t be doing all of this alone. A mentor will be on hand.
About the Employer:
This contractor currently turns over in excess of £50m per annum, completing London and Home Counties based projects for a variety of main contractors and developers. They have a recognised brand built on success and quality. While maintaining traditional roots this business is primed to expand and grow. An existing middle management is in place, but as the Managing Director it will fall to you to expand and develop the team as the business grows.
On a personal note, not only is this business financially strong, but they are ready to step forward, and with the support of individuals backing this venture, the right individual could take the helm of a business that will quickly rise to even higher levels of success.
About the Requirements:
To be successful I am looking for individuals who have worked in Director positions already and that have a strong background working for concrete frame and groundwork subcontractors in the UK.
It has also been specified that I am only to consider people who have held stable periods of time with employers as this position is important and my client only wants to consider people who are in it for the long run.
I would expect that individuals will either be degree qualified in civil engineering, construction management, or quantity surveying, depending on the departments they have run.
About the Remuneration:
This is a managing director role, where you will have ownership of your own business, so obviously the package will fit the level of responsibility. So, I’m open to considering what people are currently on versus what they are looking for salary and benefits wise.
