Food & Beverage Manager & Head Chef Couple
Location: Leyburn/Wensleydale set with the beautiful Yorkshire Dales
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 PLUS Live-in accommodation if required !!!

Award-winning company with a stunning 90 seater restaurant/gastro operation part of a bigger multi-faceted leisure/holiday operation, situated in a naturally beautiful location, is looking for an experienced Management Couple where one half is an experienced Food & Beverage/Restaurant Manager and the other half is an experienced Head Chef to run the F & B business as if it were their own.
Reporting directly to the site GM, the position offers a fantastic quality of life, based in an idyllic location with live-in accommodation available and a great salary and excellent benefits, including bonuses and profit share. All dishes are made from fresh locally sourced produce and cooked from scratch with a leaning towards quality fresh gastro pub-style food.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
Food & Beverage Manager Role:
* Experienced Food & Beverage Manager or Restaurant & Bar Manager within a quality 5 star business
* Standards focused with the ability to provide the highest standards of customer service
* Self-motivated with the ability to motivate, develop & train the team
* The ability to maximise sales, driving sales into the business, upselling with the rest of the team and also managing promotions and events, themed dinners etc.
* The ability to manage the P & L for the departments, delivering on GPs, controlling stock etc.
* Responsibility for financial management & administration across the F & B department
* Happy to be hands-on, working with your team to serve food & drink to customers
* Work closely with Head Chef to develop & create menus and deliver meals of the highest quality, presented to the highest standards and within a timely manner
* A passion for high quality fresh food and a commitment to great service
* Strong managerial & organisational skills with the ability to ensure that all H & S and policies & procedures were adhered to as well looking after recruitment, HR and appraisals for your team
* A great communicator, motivated, friendly & approachable
* The desire to work for a quality company who are going from strength to strength
* Food & Hygiene certificate, Level 3 or above
* Driving licence & own transport due to the location
* Personal Licence
Head Chef Role:
* Experienced, passionate & driven Head Chef with proven track record of great cooking & management skills and experience of working within a quality F &B/restaurant operation
* The ability to work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to come up with innovative ideas, great menus with a focus on providing great food with fantastic service, meeting service & financial targets
* The ability to ensure that your kitchen is running efficiently with the right level of team members covering all areas of the kitchen
* The ability to ensure that food is prepped daily and ready for service & all dishes are prepared and served to the highest standards of presentation consistently in a timely manner, checking & approving all food going out of the kitchen
* Organised & a great communicator, ensuring constant communication with other areas of the restaurant & bar so all team members are aware of any menu changes
* The ability to monitor stock control, manage stock rotation, GPs and portion control, working to maintain & improve GPs for food
* The ability to adhere to all H &S & Food Hygiene regulations & policies & procedures, ensuring the kitchen is kept clean & stock is rotated regularly & deep cleans are performed
* Work with F & B Manager & other Head Chefs and sites to design & create menus
* Self-motivated with strong managerial & organisational skills as well as great attention to detail
* The ability to motivate, train & develop your team
* A great communicator – friendly & approachable
* Excellent cooking skills & experience of working with fresh food, ideally with a gastro-style menu
* Food & Hygiene certification – Level 3 or above
* Ideally COSHH trained with a Health & Safety certificate
* Driving licence & own transport due to the location
Salary package:
Starting salary for this role FOR A COUPLE with the relevant experience is around £60,000 -£70,000 depending on experience plus a great bonus, profit share and LIVE-IN ACCOMMODATION. Hours are 45 per week with 31 days holiday a year. The successful candidates will need to be drivers with their own transport due to the location of the operation.
