Management Accountant required to join an independent not-for-profit organisation based in Lancashire. My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is an experienced Management Accountant to join their dynamic and growing finance function on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Management Accountant you will oversee the provision of a full Management Accounting service to ensure that accurate, timely and relevant information is produced to enable effective financial management of the organisation, alongside other duties below:

Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant

Supervise the production of annual and profiled budgets for all cost centres based on assumptions agreed by the Business Partners with budget holders.
Oversee the production of forecasts based on methodologies agreed with the Business Partners and ensuring that validation checks are in place to avoid errors.
Manage the workload of the management accounting team including ad-hoc requests for information and reports and support the professional and personal development of team members.
Ensure that all processes and procedures are documented, kept up to date and aligned with the financial regulations.
Support the Finance Business Partner Team to areas of the organisation where projects/business cases require additional resource.
Provide support to the FP&A to assist the continued development a suite of quality and trusted Management Information (e.g. the roll out and expansion of Power BI).
Deputise for the Senior Management Accountant as appropriate.Required skills and experience of the Management Accountant

Part Qualified/Qualified ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA/CCAB or equivalent
Advanced Excel skills
Power BI desirable
Excellent communication and organisation skills with ability to lead.
Experience of disciplined management accounting and forecasting processes.
Experience of providing financial analysis to both finance and non-finance managers.
Experience of working in complex multi-disciplinary environments.
Experience of budget setting in an organisation.
Experience of using Financial Information Systems.
Experience of using complex spreadsheets and database tools to analyse financial data.
