Description:
Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a manufacturing organisation on the appointment of a Management Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
* Management of all general ledger balances and reconciliations.
* Preparing monthly management accounts and other financial reports such as sales and margin analysis reports.
* Presenting reports to senior management to aid with business decision making.
* Develop strategies that will help manage business costs and cashflow.
* Support with grant applications.
* Advising on the financial implications of business decisions.
* Developing and overseeing financial systems and procedures and identifying opportunities to improve these.
* Controlling income and expenditure within the business and ensuring that expenditure is in line with budgets.
* Support the Financial Controller with regular budgets, forecasts and cashflow models.
* Various other generic accountancy tasks such as expenses management, bank reconciliations, fixed asset verification and other group finance requests.
* Manage and supervise the financial aspects of regular stock-takes.
* Ensure standard costing and job costing methodologies are monitored, reviewed, and calculated correctly.
Skills Required
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail.
* An exceptional level of accountancy skills are required including an understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles.
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge.
* Standard costing and an understanding of accounting in a manufacturing environment is essential.
Qualifications and Experience
* Fully qualified AAT with at least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing business
