NXTGEN have a new vacancy for a Management Accountant to join an organisation who continue to go from strength to strength, with more success forecast for the coming years. Supporting the Senior Management Accountant, you will act as a key contact for cost centres, working closely with budget holders to provide insight on performance vs plan. As Management Accountant you will also track year on year performance to understand variances, identifying growth areas and business trends before reporting these to stakeholders. As a key member of the central finance team you will play a significant role in the annual budgeting cycle, communicating these to senior management as required before tracking financial forecasts as the year progresses.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Production of month end management accounts for a range of cost centre's, providing commercial insight to budget holders
Support the budgeting and forecasting cycle for the business
Monthly P&L review for multiple business units, investigating variances
Preparation of monthly balance sheets
Identifying opportunities to improve the quality of reporting as part of the continuous improvement programmeThe successful candidate will ideally either a part qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with good commercial acumen. You will be a confident user of Excel and will have prior experience analysing large volumes of data within financial models. Candidates will also need to be excellent communicators with the ability to business partner with a number of senior stakeholders and executives within the business.
