Management Accountant

Description:

We are seeking a commercially minded, qualified Management Accountant on an interim basis to support the finance function of a fast-paced media business. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, budgeting, forecasting and providing financial reporting & analysis across media operations.

Offering a competitive day rate and a hybrid working pattern based in Central London, this role requires an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts and board reporting
Deliver budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Partner with sales, content and commercial teams
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
Support month-end, audits and financial controls
Provide meaningful financial insight and support strategic decision making
Assist with audits and statutory reporting requirementsRequirements

ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified (preferred)
Strong management accounting and business partnering experience
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
Experience within media, publishing, digital, marketing or creative sectors (preferred)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
