Management Accountant

We're recruiting for a Management Accountant to join Provide Equipment Hub in Croydon on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis within a growing organisation.

Location: Croydon
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Rate: £22.00 per hour
Contract: 3 months with possible extension
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Primarily onsite during training, with the possibility of up to 2 days per week remote working after training has been completed, subject to manager discretion???? The Role

As a Management Accountant, you will provide high-quality financial and operational information to support business performance and decision-making. You'll be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, partner statements, commercial analysis, and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and efficiency.

✅ Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Produce and reconcile partner statements accurately and on time.
Prepare accruals and prepayments.
Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Monitor operational costs and analyse financial performance.
Produce KPI and performance reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
Deliver commercial and financial analysis to support business decisions.
Identify trends, risks and opportunities within financial data.
Improve reporting processes, financial controls and systems.
Provide ad-hoc financial information and analysis as required.

We are looking for a proactive and analytical individual who can confidently manage financial reporting while partnering with operational teams.

You will ideally have:

✔ Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role
✔ Experience preparing accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, budgets and forecasts
✔ Strong experience producing reports for both internal and external stakeholders
✔ Excellent Excel and data analysis skills
✔ Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
✔ The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders

⭐ Desirable Experience

Experience working within an operational environment such as retail, logistics, distribution, healthcare or similar service-led businesses
Understanding of financial and operational performance drivers
Experience using Sage
Previous experience working with large datasets and financial systems
