Location: London NW11
Working pattern: Full-time, office based, five days per week
Study support: Available for candidates completing ACCA or CIMA

You will work closely with senior management and colleagues across the wider business, gaining broad exposure and playing a key role in delivering accurate financial information and commercial insight.

The role is open to both qualified and part-qualified accountants. Study support will be provided for candidates working towards their ACCA or CIMA qualification.

The Role

As Management Accountant, you will take responsibility for a broad range of accounting, reporting and financial control activities, including:

• Preparing monthly management accounts, profit and loss reports and balance sheet reconciliations
• Reviewing financial performance and investigating variances
• Producing budgets, forecasts and cashflow reports
• Preparing month-end journals and financial adjustments
• Monitoring cashflow and planning supplier payments
• Preparing and reviewing bank and credit card reconciliations
• Reviewing sales and purchase invoices entered into Xero
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice and payment queries
• Maintaining payment schedules, expense trackers and depreciation schedules
• Liaising with suppliers, banks and colleagues across the business
• Supporting and overseeing junior members of the accounts team
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit requirements
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial systems and procedures
• Providing clear financial analysis and commercial insight to senior management
• Supporting the wider finance team with projects and additional accounting responsibilities

About You - You will be:

• ACCA or CIMA qualified, part-qualified or actively studying towards qualification
• Experienced in preparing monthly management accounts and variance analysis
• Confident with cashflow reporting, reconciliations and month-end processes
• Commercially aware, analytical and solutions-focused
• Ideally experienced within retail, wholesale, FMCG or another fast-paced business
• Comfortable combining management reporting with hands-on accounting responsibilities
• Strong and proficient excel skills and ideally xero

• Highly organised and able to balance competing priorities
• An effective communicator who enjoys working collaboratively
• Proactive, adaptable and keen to contribute ideas
• Accurate, dependable and committed to maintaining high professional standards
