Sellick Partnership are working with a leading higher education organisation who are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to provide financial insight, support and challenge across a portfolio of Schools and Professional Services.
The responsibilities of the Management Accountant will be:
Partner with senior stakeholders, providing clear financial advice, insight and constructive challenge to support effective decision making.
Lead on budgeting, forecasting and management reporting, identifying key variances, trends and financial risks.
Analyse financial performance and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, manage costs and support wider business planning.
Provide financial expertise across projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring financial considerations are incorporated into key decisions.
Support the wider Finance Business Partnering function while developing and managing junior finance team members.
The ideal candidate for the Management Accountant role will have:
Significant experience in a Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or similar senior finance position.
Strong experience across management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior colleagues.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to turn complex financial information into clear recommendations.
A relevant finance qualification, degree or equivalent experience.
Higher education experience would be advantageous, although candidates from other complex organisations will be considered.
