Location: Outskirts of Cheltenham
Contract: 3/4 months (with potential extension)
Salary: C.£60,000 - Paid via Day Rate

About the Role
Hays are exclusively partnering with a fast-growing and dynamic business on the outskirts of Cheltenham, to recruit a Senior Management Accountant for an initial 3-4 month period. This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment. Working closely with operations, you will play a key role in delivering accurate reporting, improving processes, and simplifying complex financial data to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Production of weekly and monthly management reporting for operational stakeholders
Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and integrity
Reconciliation of stock accounts
Analysis of operational statistics and performance data
Reconciliation and management of supplier rebates
Work with large, complex data sets (mostly Excel) to produce clear and actionable insights
Supporting process improvements, particularly around existing spreadsheet-based systems
Knowledgeable of IFRS16 practices

Person Specification

Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferred; strong QBE candidates will also be considered.
Proven experience in a Management Accounting or similar role.
Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
Excellent Excel skills, with the ability to manage and simplify complex data.
Strong communication skills and confidence in working with non-finance stakeholders.
Proactive, inquisitive, and willing to engage with teams to understand processes.
