Management Accountant | PQ/QBE | up to £50K | Warrington region
 
Medlock Partners are currently working  with a Private Equity backed Service business in the WA Postcode as they look to appoint an ambitious and driven Management Accountant to take ownership of the management accounts process.
 
This successful SME group has experienced consistent growth over recent years, both organically and through acquisition. With further expansion anticipated, it’s an exciting time to join them and be part of that success.
 
You will be either part-qualified and studying(ACA, ACCA), or a competent finance professional with solid experience in producing end-to end-management accounts in a similar SME business. You’ll report into the FC, who will support and develop your progression whilst you gain valuable exposure to working within the exciting domain of private equity backed business.
 
Responsibilities:

Full production of monthly management accounts in line with internal reporting deadlines.
Variance analysis, including high level commentary.
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Calculation and posting of WIP balances.
Revenue Analysis and reporting.
Calculation and posting of monthly accruals & prepayments.
Maintenance of the fixed asset register.
Completion of board pack presentation.
Contribution towards suggesting and implementing supplementary reporting to support decision making.
Calculating & submitting VAT & CIS returns.
Cash management.
Assisting with the year end audit.
Collate, review & submit monthly payroll data to the outsourced processing team
Payroll onboarding and query resolution.
PAYE and pension contributions reconciliation, submission, and payment.
Other finance and payroll related duties as required.  
Person Specification:

Part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)or QBE.
Experience in a similar role.
Confident, team player and able to work to deadlines under pressure.
Highly analytical.
Motivated to work to high standards with excellent attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong IT skills – particularly Excel
