Management Accountant
Bridgwater £40,000 - £44,000 DOE
Offering Hybrid Working 3/2 Split
Permanent Mon-Fri with Flexi Hours
Our client a leading manufacturing business, is currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis with the position offering both flexible and hybrid working.
As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts and budget, offering analysis and commentary on financial figures, and providing budget holders with essential financial information for informed decision-making.
Key responsibilities:
• Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting.
• Create and post month end journals as required to ensure the monthly accounts reflect a true and fair position.
• Complete Balance Sheet reconciliations each month in line with the reporting deadlines.
• Assist in preparation of the annual budget.
• Maintain and update costing models for sheet and finished goods.
• Maintenance of company fixed asset register, including preparation of all depreciation, disposal journals.
• Maintain summary analysis of all CAPEX requests, including authorisation progress and spend against approved amounts.
• Maintain stock valuation models for film and finished goods.
• Produce monthly customer profitability reports.
• Deal directly with Auditors during annual audit.
• Proactively analyse costs to assist in ensuring the resources of the company are being used in the most productive manner.
• Produce ad-hoc analysis and project work as required to meet the needs of the business.
Candidate profile:
• Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
• Demonstrate proven experience in a similar role.
• Perferably from a Manufacturing company background
