The School and Role

ABC Teachers are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic client school in the heart of Selly Oak as a Male PE Teacher.

As a Male PE Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring and motivating our students to lead active and healthy lifestyles. You will deliver engaging and dynamic PE lessons that cater to students of varying abilities and interests, ensuring that all learners have the opportunity to excel. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular sports clubs, competitions, and events. The school has a commitment to fostering academic excellence and holistic development, they provide a supportive environment where students can flourish academically, socially, and physically. You will be working in an environment where they are dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported in achieving their full potential. Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
Organize and lead extracurricular sports activities and events
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the PE department

Requirements

The successful PE Teacher will have;

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching PE at the secondary level
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Physical Education
Passion for promoting physical activity and well-being among young people
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
