Are you passionate about supporting high-risk male victims of domestic abuse? We are seeking a dedicated Male Domestic Abuse Case Worker to join our team and provide a high-quality, proactive front-line service. This role involves working within a multi-agency framework, including the MARAC and local partnership responses, to ensure the safety and empowerment of male victims in the Swansea Bay area.
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Assessment: Identify and assess the risks and needs of domestic abuse victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
Case Management: Manage a caseload, ensuring each client receives a service tailored to their individual needs.
Client Empowerment: Support and empower clients to recognise the dynamics of domestic abuse and regain control of their lives.
Sensitive Handling: Deal with sensitive and emotive issues, challenging behaviour, and difficult situations with professionalism and empathy.
Legislation and Policy: Stay updated with relevant legislation, local strategies, policies, and procedures to provide informed support.Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in supporting victims of domestic abuse or related fields.
Strong understanding of the dynamics of domestic abuse and its impact.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency framework.
