Interim Project Manager - Major Works & Refurbishment
Local Authority Housing Provider
3 Days Per Week | 3-Month Contract | Outside IR35
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to lead the mobilisation phase of a major residential refurbishment programme valued at approximately £15 million.
The contractor has recently been appointed and works are scheduled to commence early in the new year. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between contractor appointment and the mobilisation of the longer-term project management consultancy team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead contractor mobilisation activities.
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and health and safety requirements.
* Coordinate contractor site set-up and mobilisation plans.
* Oversee project governance, programme management and risk mitigation.
* Manage early-stage stakeholder engagement and project reporting.
* Support the transition and handover to the appointed project management consultancy.
Requirements
* Proven experience managing major refurbishment or capital works programmes.
* Experience mobilising contracts valued in excess of £10 million.
* Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and construction health and safety.
* Background working within social housing, local authority or residential environments.
* Excellent contractor and stakeholder management skills
