About the Role:
As a Maintenance Technician at our clients Peterborough site, you will be instrumental in maintaining the operational efficiency and performance of their production facilities. You will leverage your extensive engineering skills to ensure machinery and systems function optimally, contributing to the overall productivity of the site. This role requires a proactive, skilled individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues and ensure minimal downtime.
Work closely with the production team to improve machine reliability and performance.
Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance machinery efficiency and safety.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and machine performance.
Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements:
ONC/HNC or equivalent recognised apprenticeship in electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
Proven experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food sector.
Strong working knowledge of pneumatics.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Flexible and adaptable approach to work, as tasks may vary daily.
Exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
Effective communication skills, capable of working well with various teams and levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
