A well-established and highly successful manufacturer supplying plastic products to the FMCG sector is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a business that is investing heavily in its people, equipment, and future growth.
Salary up to £45,000, Day shift, 5% pension, Private Medical Insurance, 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
Working on a permanent day shift, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of production machinery, while also supporting the upkeep of the site's facilities. This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to play a key part in the company's continued expansion.
Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician
Install and commission production machinery
Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics, and breakdown repairs
Perform both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Develop, implement, and improve planned maintenance schedules
Support general building and facilities maintenance as requiredTo be successful the Maintenance Technician role, you will:
Be a multi-skilled Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias
Have experience maintaining plastic manufacturing or processing equipment, including injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding, or thermoforming machinery, or possess strong experience maintaining large industrial presses
Have a proven background in machinery installation, planned preventative maintenance, and reactive fault diagnosis
