Maintenance Technician Role
* 4 Day working week!! & Training Opportunities

Salary - £15.90 PH (OTE Circa £30,000 +)
Locations – Newcastle
Shift Pattern – Day Shift (Mon – Thurs)

The Role:

This role is requiring someone who is wanting a long-standing opportunity and to progress within a company. The role requires someone who is time served within a Maintenance qualification. The company are looking to invest into a technician for their future; they are looking to bring someone on board no matter how much experience, with the end goal in mind of having someone who is extremally multiskilled and can oversee their factory and niche machinery.

The Position of a Maintenance Engineer:

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to fulfil a permanent position, who must have experience of a manufacturing industry, ideally some form of heavy industry environment.
This position is based within a heavy industry environment where you must be able to work well under pressure and deal with multiple challenges daily and use your own initiative.

Skills & Requirements of a Maintenance Engineer:

* Time Served – Full Apprenticeship

* Exposure within a high demanding / heavy industry manufacturing industry

* Be able to think on your feet and work well under pressure.

* Strong fault diagnostics and fault-finding skills upon machinery.

* PPM Exposure, Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills

Responsibilities:

* Effectively maintain a varied range of equipment, always ensuring an acceptable level of health and safety.

* Root cause diagnosis of all breakdowns and faults to prevent reoccurrences.

* React to all breakdowns and requested tasks in a timely manner, completing relevant paperwork and ensuring the maintenance of all records.

* Monitor manufacturing equipment performance with the aim of implementing process improvements.

* Support in depth analysis of failure modes using suitable diagnosis tools.

* Develop, implement and review Total Preventative Maintenance routines and ensure adherence to schedule once implemented.

* To achieve continuous improvement
