We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for an initial 12-month contract based in Barnoldswick on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.

Job description - the role

To provide support to the Manufacturing Services Leader and Manufacturing Services Engineer to ensure the organisation's objectives and goals are delivered. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on manufacturing assets and all associated production equipment.

We will be pleased to review applications from a range of backgrounds, i.e. mechanical, electrical or, otherwise relevant disciplines.

As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for:

Performing a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks across a broad range of manufacturing assets and production equipment.
Collect, organise, and analyse data in support of Key Performance Indicators for the Manufacturing Services Department as required.
Coordinate preventive and planned corrective maintenance activities with Production Staff, regularly communicating and interfacing with Production Leaders, Team Leaders, and Production Operators.
Work with site Manufacturing Engineers to help understand and restore equipment performance to standard.
Utilise problem solving skills and ability to make sound recommendations based on judgement, training and previous experience.What we require from the candidate:

NVQ level 3 or equivalent in relevant time served apprenticeship. It is essential that candidates provide certification prior to interview
Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern including weekend and night shifts.
Proven understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic pneumatics principles and operation
Demonstrable IT literacy
Understanding of local and regional HSE Standards and regulationsNext steps
