Position Overview:

As a Maintenance Supervisor you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the performance of our production machinery and plant infrastructure. Your expertise in both electrical and mechanical engineering will be vital in diagnosing faults, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and leading improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and safety.

Background needed.

* Excellent project management and leadership skills, with the ability to lead maintenance projects from conception to completion.

* In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical processes

* Experience with PLC troubleshooting.

* CMMS – comprehensive knowledge of how to navigate and report.

* FMECA – minimum have participated in a few.

* Have managed some projects with basic PM tools like Gantt chart, budgets and risk register.

* Extensive knowledge of KPIs and the management of them

* Have working knowledge and experience of installation, commissioning and performance testing of equipment.

* Working a professional environment where protocols are followed, like NDAs, 3 quotes, tendering process, vendor management.

* Budget management and understanding

* Know the concept of site STD as a minimum.

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and servicing of all manufacturing equipment and systems to prevent equipment failures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

* Ensuring team complete inspection according to agreed schedule and maintenance strategy. Also mention responsible for reporting activities include downtime, callout, OEE, MTBF, MTBR etc.

* Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in machinery and infrastructure, minimizing downtime and production delays.

* Conduct root cause analysis to ascertain the cause of repeat failures and implement improvements to prevent future occurrence.

* When required supporting out of hours for major breakdowns.

* Lead and implement preventive maintenance programs, ensuring machinery and equipment are in good working condition and meet safety standards. Responsible for upkeep of CMMS system and ensuring PM tasks are up to date and new site assets are included. Oversee and manage projects aimed at improving equipment efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.

* Contractor management and authorising work permits, checking work quality, safe working and job close off.

* Collaborate with the production team to understand equipment challenges and develop solutions that enhance operational performance.

* Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in maintenance engineering, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and efficiency in our operations.

* Problem-solving mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

* Responsible for day to day man management of reports including managing sick leave, holidays, callout. OT etc.

* Responsible for keeping site spare part inventory maintained to an accurate level and ensuring all spares used or added to stock are booked out / in accordingly.

* Maintaining high levels of housekeeping of maintenance controlled areas

* Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, setting clear objectives and standards to ensure high performance and development.

* To comply with all the Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the company Health and Safety policy.

* Train and mentor maintenance staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the maintenance department.
