Maintenance, Plant, Fleet & Workshop Manager

Salary: £50,000k - £55,000k + benefits

Full time permanent

Location: Hull / Humberside / East Coast

Sector: UK Intermodal + UK Road Fleet

This is an excellent opportunity to join a large organisation in a Maintenance, Plant, Fleet & Workshop Manager position. You will be coordinating and managing UK asset workshop maintenance, ensuring fleet compliance, day-to-day workshop management of technicians.

The role also involves working closely with operations and special projects teams on specific technical logistics specifications. This is a new additional role to the logistics team and you will be able to add real value to the organisation.

* UK HGV Fleet management - fast-paced operation

* Team and workshop management

* Being self-motivated, solutions focused and a credible, first-class communicator

* Workshop P&L cost management

* Technical logistics specifications experience

* HGV, Intermodal, special projects and products exp

Responsibilities

* Manage and lead a large maintenance / workshop team with a commercial focus

* Manage operational spending in line with budgets.

* Establishment of budgets and KPI’s

* Maintaining the UK fleet of commercial vehicles and ensure tax & MOT’s are up to date at all times.

* Coordinate and manage all plant and UK Fleet maintenance programmes in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations & warranties

* Investigate any accident damage and review the root causes + complete reports & follow up actions

* Fleet administration & compliance experience.

* Ensuring asset maintenance costs are minimised and budgets are met

* Overseeing the implementation of the Company’s planned preventative maintenance programme.

* Negotiation with customers / suppliers

* Recruitment, disciplinary matters and staff training and development.

* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

* Have a real focus on Health & Safety

* Technical engineering expertise.

* Good knowledge of IT e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Team manager with a commercial focus

* Global Logistics and asset management

* Special projects and specific technical logistics specifications experience
