The Greenfields family are recruiting in Newark for a Maintenance Person!

The individuals we support at Greenfields love to party! They enjoy listening and dancing to music and we even have our own karaoke machine. Cooking and baking cakes are also a favourite aswell as celebrating each other’s birthdays. 

We have lots of outdoor space, and plenty always going on here. We can provide support to up to 26 individuals who have personalised bedrooms and living areas spread across 4 buildings. Everyone who lives here is encouraged to overcome their daily challenges so they can achieve their personal goals and future aspirations!

 We understand what’s important and always try our best to help the individuals live their best lives! No two days are the same, one day we’re partaking in a family event or party and the next we’re out window shopping and sightseeing! There is huge variety in the role and lots to learn.

Job scope:

Provide support to the Salutem Group maintaining suitable and therapeutic environments for the people we support. The post holder will form part of a team supporting the care function. 

Job Responsibilities: 

Maintain the “Salutem” standard for the environment, 
Take the instruction on reactive responses via the helpdesk on a daily basis to include; 
first line response to reactive repairs 
Minor electrical works, lamp changes, light fittings and sockets 
Plumbing repairs and minor installations, changing washers 
Replacing locks, door closers and other door furniture 
Maintain accurate documentation of all assigned work orders ensure prompt and accurate feedback to the help desk on job progress and status 
To carry out planned works, under the direction of the Regional Estates Manager, and supervision of the Regional Maintenance Supervisor to include; 
General building repair and maintenance as determined in the company cost plan 
Decorating tasks in accordance with the agreed decoration program 
Provide external contractor support when required where operations cannot 
Ensure appropriate fire risk assessments are carried out and recommendations are actioned, 
Ensure water risk assessments are carried out and recommendations are actioned, 
Report anomalies to the Regional Estates Supervisor  
Comply fully with Health, Safety & Environmental policies 
Provide excellent customer service to service management and the people we support 
Provide estates support to Service Management and the Regional Maintenance Supervisor in accordance with above, and as directed
