JOB SPECIFICATION
Role Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer/Technician with a combined electrical and mechanical background to support planned and reactive maintenance across site process equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in minimising downtime and maintaining operational efficiency within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on associated process equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control system faults
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential failures
Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site maintenance management system
Process Equipment & Ancillaries
Pumps and valves
CIP systems
Blending equipment
Pipework and transfer systems
Compressed air systems
Process instrumentation
Essential Skills & Experience
Recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship
NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent
Experience in food, beverage, dairy or FMCG manufacturing
Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems
Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and preventative maintenance systems
Contract & Terms
To be confirmed: whether engaged on standard temporary (weekly-paid, third-party) terms consistent with other temporary staff on site, or a semi-permanent contract with monthly pay (e.g. 6 months)
