Maintenance Engineer
Salary £38,000 - £44,000, dependent on experience
Rotating day shifts 6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm
Key responsibilities:
* Provide breakdown cover both electrical and mechanical
* Have a knowledge of PLC controlled systems
* Injection Moulding experience desirable
* Carry out planned maintenance as per the companies PM schedules
* Electronically record all relevant information relating to breakdowns and PMs
* Carry out modifications, plant relocation and re-installation (mechanical and electrical)
* Work safely within the companies Health and Safety requirements
* Manage contractors when required
* Work with the Maintenance Manager to rectify recurring issues
* Undertake projects requested by the Maintenance Manager
* Advise on spare part requirement to the Maintenance Manager
The Person
* Apprentice trained with suitable qualifications, Level 3 C&G, ONC, HNC, HND in relevant fields mechanical / electrical
* Injection moulding experience desirable but not essential
* 17th / 18th edition wiring regulations desirable
* Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings
* Experience working with PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Omron) would be advantageous
* Experience with sensors and vision systems (Keyence, Sensopart, Balluff. Sick)
* Knowledge of safety systems (Pilz, Schneider, Weiland, Rockwell, ABB)
* Self-starter who can work effectively on their own under pressure and be able to prioritise breakdowns
* Computer literate MS Office
* Automotive manufacturing experience
