WHAT TO EXPECT
We are actively in pursuit of an accomplished Maintenance Engineer, poised to play a pivotal role in advancing our Legislation & Cranes realm.
This role will be a facility Maintenance Engineer within the Maintenance and Engineering team in the Halewood Press Shop to provide support to maximise production efficiencies maintain all associated plant equipment and be responsible for first-line response support to requests, and issues with equipment and processes.
You will be at the forefront and will specialise in overhead travelling Crane Maintenance Engineering, and Statutory Insurance Compliance.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Drive key actions and projects to improve equipment performance
Involvement and leading refurbishment and new equipment projects from inception through to operations
Co-ordination and management of contractors
Liaison with Production, Scheduling, Finance and other departments
Feeding into a wellness plan in line with the Stamping strategy
Meeting environmental objectives
Zone support to resolve safety, quality, volume and cost issues
Delivery and commissioning of equipment to meet launch requirements
Reviewing maintenance preventative checks in line with a lean mind-set
Management and implementation of predictive maintenance techniques
Statutory insurance system for power presses, cranes and lifting equipment
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential –
Working knowledge of overhead travelling cranes up to 60 ton capacity
Significant knowledge of statutory insurance legislation; PUWER, LOLER, PSSR
Significant Project Management experience
Knowledge of key problem-solving techniques, green belt or above is desirable
Automation control systems knowledge; Siemens S7
Knowledge of Quality Operating Systems procedures & deliverables
