Location: Bristol

Salary: Up to £58,000

Shift Pattern: 3 Shift Pattern, Earlies, Lates and Nights (M-F)

They provide bespoke and high-quality products to meet the unique needs of their prestigious clients and with a healthy and growing order book there may be more investments to keep up with demand, which in turn means that they offer incredible stability and security within the industry. They are looking for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer who will  become part of a supportive engineering team where training, development and career progression are genuinely encouraged.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of a wide range of automated production equipment, including Automated Machinery, Conveyors, Trolley, Treatment Plants, Robotics, Burners and Humidifier.

Supervise the maintenance team on your shift and controlling and ensuring plant parameters and set points.
Responding to equipment breakdowns and carrying out fault finding
Performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
Reading through electrical schematics, utilizing electrical test equipment such as multi-meters and fault finding on panels.
Working on 3-phase systems, drives, invertors, relays, motors, sensors and control equipment
Mechanically – replacing worn out parts on the conveyors which will include rollers, bearings and pulleys.
Also working on Gearboxes, Shafts, Belts, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems
Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects
Contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the site

What We're Looking For as a Maintenance Engineer

We're looking for a Maintenance Engineer who enjoys working within a collaborative maintenance environment and is keen to develop their skills.

Essential Requirements:

Engineering qualification at Level 3 or above (Electrical or Multi-Skilled)
Previous maintenance engineering experience within an FMCG Manufacturing, Production or Industrial environment
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills with a focus on root cause analysis
PLC experience (advantageous but not essential)
Proactive approach with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team and as part of a team
