Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – SCADA & PLC Controls
We are looking for an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills and proven experience working with PLC and SCADA control systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving and keeping production equipment running efficiently.
The Role
As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site equipment
* Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
* Fault-finding and working with PLC-controlled machinery
* Supporting and troubleshooting SCADA/control systems
* Identifying recurring faults and implementing preventative solutions
* Carrying out electrical testing, modifications and installations
* Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
* Contributing to continuous improvement and reliability projects
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring all work is completed safely
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
* Proven experience as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
* Strong electrical and mechanical engineering skills
* Practical experience with PLC systems and fault-finding
* Experience with SCADA systems and industrial controls
* The ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
* A good understanding of automation, sensors, motors, drives and control systems
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance
* Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent experience
