MTrec Recruitment have partnered with our new, industry-leading, and prestigious manufacturing client in their search for an experienced maintenance engineer.

The role will involve working the following shift patterns, with overtime available:

* 06:00–14:00, Monday to Friday

* 14:00–22:00, Sunday to Thursday

* 22:00–06:00, Sunday to Thursday

The Job You Will Do:

* Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.

* Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.

* Responding to equipment breakdowns and minimising production downtime.

* Supporting equipment installations and modifications.

* Contributing to engineering improvements and reliability initiatives.

* Working collaboratively with the wider engineering and production teams.

* Maintaining a high standard of health, safety and housekeeping.

About you:

Experience maintaining and fault-finding industrial production equipment.

Experience working with electrical systems and equipment up to 415V.

Good knowledge of three-phase electrical systems.

Mechanical maintenance experience, including pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes and drive systems.

Ability to work independently and as part of a small engineering team.

Experience managing a varied workload across planned maintenance, projects, installations and breakdowns.

Ideally apprentice-trained or holding relevant engineering qualifications.

Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding knowledge.

Computer literate.

18th Edition advantageous; training can be provided.

Evidence of ongoing professional and technical development.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to use own initiative and work proactively.

Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Good planning and organisational abilities.

Flexible, practical and hands-on approach to engineering
