We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to mechanically and electrically maintain a wide range of machinery for a forward-thinking Engineering company in Port Talbot. You will have the chance to join a small but dedicated team in a role where no two days are the same and employee development and wellbeing is put at the forefront of the operation.

As Maintenance Engineer you will:

Be responsible for the proactive and reactive maintenance of a wide range of machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure - including CNC machine tools, servos, motors, control panels, and operator interfaces

Fault find, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on servos, motors, drives, control panels, and machine interfaces.
Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime, carrying out root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Support and maintain PLC-controlled systems and other automated control systems where required.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports using company systems
Order and manage spare parts and consumables, maintaining appropriate stock levels.
Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations, including safe isolation procedures and risk assessments
Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine reliability, efficiency, and safety.You will need both mechanical and electrical fault finding skills in this role and ideally, basic knowledge of PLCs and industrial control systems.
