A Maintenance Engineer is needed for this highly successful manufacturing business. This will be a 4 on 4 off shift pattern which includes days and nights, working 12-hour shifts.

The role forms part of the engineering team, delivering pro-active, added value Engineering and Maintenance service across the entire site as well as an efficient reactive response to all aspects of site operations.

Role and Responsibilities:

To be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all production & plant equipment whilst driving efficiencies through continuous improvement activities
To execute maintenance procedures and prioritise all work in line with plant needs and production availability
To complete regular checks and testing on all plant to ensure they are operating within specification. (recorded appropriately)
To ensure that Health and Safety and Quality procedures are followed, ensuring that standards are maintained i.e. work in a tidy, clean, safe, structured and professional manner.
To comply with all Corporate, Health and Safety and Environmental rules, standards and legislation (including 17th edition IEE Wiring Regulations for multi-skilled)
To be active in supporting the achievement of corporate strategies and departmental targets. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The Maintenance Engineer will need to have a background in the food or FMCG manufacturing industries. You will also have:

Extensive experience of working in an automated FMCG environment.
Extensive experience of working with processing and packaging machinery.
Mechanical qualification City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent.
Electrical qualification City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent.
18th Edition electrical qualification is ideal.
Experience of troubleshooting and resolving PLC & Robotic issues
Detailed experience of carrying out reactive, planned, preventative and predictive maintenance.
Working knowledge of leading continuous improvement and SMED projects.
