Maintenance Engineer
Swindon
Monday - Friday Days
£50,000 + Bonus Scheme
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineer to join a global manufacturing business in a highly regulated production environment. Role & Responsibilities:
Provide technical engineering support across a designated production area
Lead fault finding activities and implement permanent corrective actions
Drive equipment reliability, availability and continuous improvement initiatives
Support maintenance teams with second-line technical expertise and mentoring
Manage equipment upgrades, installations and commissioning activities
Work closely with Production, Quality, Validation and Engineering teams to minimise downtime
Review and improve preventative maintenance strategies through CMMS systems
Manage external contractors and vendors whilst ensuring compliance standards are met
Ensure all activities are carried out in line with GMP, safety and quality requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Engineering qualification (HNC Level 3/NVQ Level 3 Apprenticeship or equivalent)
Experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
Strong understanding of GMP, Health & Safety and maintenance best practices
Experience using CMMS and maintenance planning systems
Knowledge of production equipment, HVAC and water treatment systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID drawings
Strong fault-finding, root cause analysis and continuous improvement experience
Exposure to cleanroom environments would be advantageous
