Description:
Our client, a manufacturing company located near Pinxton, Nottingham, has recently undergone significant changes and growth, including a £3 million investment. They are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding team.
This role offers a salary of £48,000 and benefits such as 23 days of annual leave, discounts on high-street brands, a robust company pension, and funded courses. Shift Pattern
* Week 1: Monday – Friday, 6am – 2pm
* Week 2: Monday – Friday, 7am – 3pm
* Week 3: Monday – Friday, 2pm – 10pm
* Week 4: Sunday – Thursday, 10pm – 6am
Duties
* Perform routine maintenance tasks including inspecting, testing, and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
* Conduct preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with machinery and equipment to identify root causes of failures.
* Collaborate with production operators and other departments to prioritise and address maintenance needs promptly.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities using the company's maintenance management system.
* Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and processes to enhance efficiency and safety.
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies during maintenance operations.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices to optimise production processes.
Required experience
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in engineering or equivalent.
* Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within the manufacturing industry.
* Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
