Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 / 10:00-18:00 weekly rotating shifts

Salary: Up to £41,000 per annum, negotiable.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Our client is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their Distribution and Fulfilment Centre in Holford, Birmingham.

Working a Monday-to-Friday day shift, you will play an important role in maintaining the site’s e-fulfilment automation and warehouse plant. The role combines hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance with preventative maintenance planning, spare parts management and contractor coordination.

Key Responsibilities Maintenance Engineer

* Plan and schedule day-to-day preventative maintenance on e-fulfilment automation, including: Jacob White, Packrobat, B-Plus, Pick2Box systems.

* Diagnose and resolve minor mechanical and electrical faults in real time.

* Obtain telephone support from equipment manufacturers when dealing with more complex issues.

* Coordinate manufacturer call-outs for major faults and provide written reports outlining the issue and recommended preventative actions.

* Document maintenance procedures for automated machinery.

* Manage spare parts inventory, including stock checks, control and replenishment.

* Maintain a range of warehouse plant and machinery, including: Dematic Stock Track systems, solus wrappers and de-wrappers, cardboard balers, taping machines

* And MHE.

* Ensure maintenance activities comply with relevant health and safety requirements, including LOLER and PUWER.

* Liaise with and manage external contractors where required.

* Complete other maintenance-related duties as needed.

Skills and Experience Maintenance Engineer

* Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance engineering within a factory, warehouse or distribution environment.

* The ability to diagnose and resolve faults efficiently, with a practical and methodical approach.

* Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and material handling equipment.

* Knowledge of automated warehouse or e-fulfilment systems would be advantageous.

* An 18th Edition qualification is desirable although qualification training can be provided.

* A strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

* Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently.

Benefits Maintenance Engineer

* Salary of up to £41,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience.

* Overtime opportunities paid at enhanced rates of 1.33x, 1.5x and 2.0x.

* Bonus paid in December.

* Pension scheme, including an 5% company contribution.

* Full-time, permanent employment.

* Monday-to-Friday day shift with no regular night shifts.
