Job Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Pontefract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving site that invests heavily in its people and equipment, offering excellent training, job security and long-term career progression.
Working a Panama days and nights shift pattern, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of manufacturing machinery, ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum while driving continuous improvement across the site.

Non-Negotiable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
Recognised engineering qualification
Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
Ability to work a Panama days and nights shift pattern
Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly and efficiently
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
Complete maintenance records accurately
Work closely with production to maximise machine uptime
Contribute to continuous improvement projects
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Desirable Requirements for the Maintenance Engineer
Multi-skilled maintenance experience
Experience working with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics or pneumatics
PLC fault-finding experience
Experience within an automated factory
