Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next contract opportunity? We are seeking experienced multi-skilled engineers with either a mechanical or electrical bias to support a high-performing advanced manufacturing operation in Coventry.
Working within a technically challenging production environment, you'll play a key role in maintaining, improving and troubleshooting a wide range of manufacturing equipment and plant machinery. Rotating 3-shift pattern:
Morning Shift
Afternoon Shift
Night Shift
Flexibility to work across all three shifts is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities across manufacturing plant and equipment
Respond to breakdowns and perform fault diagnosis to minimise downtime
Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions
Support machinery upgrades, installations and continuous improvement projects
Install, commission and modify production equipment
Assist with factory layout changes and production line improvements
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability and performance
Liaise with external contractors and suppliers when required
What We're Looking For
Essential
Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities
Mechanical knowledge including:
Hydraulics
Pneumatics
Fluid power systems
Steam systems
Electrical fault-finding experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance
Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office
Desirable
Manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, defence or high-volume production experience
Compression moulding equipment experience
Waterjet cutting equipment knowledge
City & Guilds, ONC, HNC or equivalent engineering qualification
Forklift Truck Licence
MEWP Licence
