Static Maintenance Engineer – £40,000 – Waltham
£40,000 basic | One fixed site | Day shifts | Minimum four hours’ pay per call-out
Swap the mobile patch for one site at Waltham, earn £40,000 basic and keep the variety that makes building services maintenance interesting.
You’ll join the on-site facilities team at a busy supermarket distribution centre. One job might be a plumbing repair or a planned emergency lighting check. The next might be getting a loading bay door back up and running so deliveries can keep moving.
What’s on offer
* £40,000 basic salary
* One fixed site at Waltham Point
* Day shifts of 6:00am–2:30pm or 9:30am–6:00pm
* 1-in-5 on-call rota with a minimum of four hours’ pay per call-out and door-to-door paid travel
* First interview via Microsoft Teams, followed by a site walkaround so you can see where you’d be working
What you’ll be doing
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and responding to breakdowns and reactive repairs.
* Maintaining general building services, including plumbing, fire alarms, emergency lighting and sprinkler systems.
* Carrying out first-line checks and resets on loading bay doors.
* Diagnosing faults, making repairs and escalating issues where needed.
* Supporting maintenance on fan coil units, VRVs and split air conditioning systems.
What we’re looking for
You’ll have hands-on experience in facilities maintenance or general building services and be comfortable fault-finding across a range of equipment. Practical maintenance experience is the priority. Experience with fan coils, VRVs or split systems is a bonus.
